Medical cannabis FAQ
Medical Cannabis FAQ
Q: What can medical cannabis help?
A: Medical cannabis can help a variety of conditions including: anxiety, depression, PTSD, pain, seizures, Alzheimer’s, ALS, MS, Crohn's disease and cancer, among others.
Q: Will I get high using medical cannabis or CBD?
A: No. Using cannabis for medical purposes should not result in feeling high. If you do feel high, you have most likely used too much.
Q: Will I have to smoke to use medical cannabis?
A: No. In fact, smoking cannabis leaf is the least effective way to use it for medical purposes. Doing so burns off the helpful terpenes and cannabinoids, which are used to address different conditions.
Q: How can I use medical cannabis?
A: There are many delivery methods to choose from. While some people still do choose to smoke, there are many alternatives, including: vaping, oral oils, tinctures, capsules, topicals, patches, transdermal products, suppositories, and edibles - both savory and sweet.
Q: Will you tell me what to do?
A: No. Just like with health and wellness coaching, I will not tell you what to do. I will work with you to help you figure out the best product, delivery method, dose and frequency to help you reach your overall goals. Medical cannabis does not have standard treatment recommendations. Each of us has our own endocannabinoid system and will react differently to cannabis products. It may take a little experimentation to figure out what works best for you.
Q: What if I don’t live anywhere near you? Can you still help?
A: Absolutely. I will work with you to help you understand your options in your location. Hemp products are legal throughout the US. Recreational and medical cannabis laws differ by state. I will work with you to understand what is possible where you live.
Q: If I use medical cannabis, will I test positive for using it?
A: Possibly. It depends on the cannabis product you decide to use.
